Megan
As the founder and director of The Steelworks, Meg’s passion for hair is in her blood. Following in the footsteps of her mother—a hairdresser turned barber—Meg brings 18 years of experience and a fearless approach to styling. She will jump in with both feet for any major hair transformation, so be careful what you wish for—you just might get it!
Known affectionately as the "work dad," Meg is famous for her deep conversations. Be prepared for gorgeous hair served with a side dish of therapy; she genuinely loves her clients and can easily get sidetracked talking about life. While she’s a wealth of industry knowledge, she gets so caught up in the chat that she might not always volunteer technical advice—so if you have questions about services or products, just ASK!
Meg specialises in all things BRIGHT + COLOURFUL though she is a master of every aspect of hairdressing. She maintains a particular focus on incredible hair condition and has a secret soft spot for gents' barbering (but shhh, don’t tell anyone!)

Leanne
With 17 years of experience in the industry, Leanne is the "sensible" heart of our team. Often referred to as the "work mum," she brings a thoughtful and steady hand to every appointment. If you’re considering a major hair transformation, Leanne will guide you with careful trepidation, ensuring you are 100% certain before making any wild or drastic decisions.
She is a true "all-rounder" who likes to take her time, focusing on the finer details to ensure both you and your hair get the care you deserve. While she is incredibly sweet in nature, don't confuse her kindness for weakness—she’s a powerhouse who "kicks ass" when she needs to!
Leanne takes her responsibilities both inside and outside the salon incredibly seriously, including being a fantastic mum to her little boy, Denzil. We feel very lucky to have her expertise and dedication on our team.

Maddie is a bubbly and confident young woman who brings an unmistakable energy to the salon—it’s always a little too quiet when she’s not around! Known for being able to "talk a glass eye to sleep," she is fun, entertaining, and has a natural gift for making every client feel instantly comfortable in her chair.
Beyond her infectious personality, Maddie is incredibly conscientious and takes immense pride in her craft. She is a dedicated learner who strives to master every new skill to the absolute best of her ability. She is also our resident "natural-born saleswoman," so if you need advice on the perfect product or a new service, she’s your gal.
As our official "work daughter," she truly fills the room with heart and hustle.
